The Project

Worle Community School had a requirement for additional unisex toilet facilities. A new toilet block extension was constructed to provide 16 new cubicle unisex washroom and toilet facility alongside an existing teaching block.

Toilet Block

  • Groundworks and adjoining the new toilet block to the existing building
  • Traditionally constructed cavity wall
  • Install 16 new full height cubicles and IPS with vandal proof pans and electronic integrated flushing
  • Install hygiene area to include bespoke hand wash and drying facilities
  • All ventilation, electrical and plumbing installation
  • Decorations throughout
  • New high spec wall & floor finishes
  • Supply and fit automatic doors
  • Roofing works

Added Value

Working in a ‘live’ school environment is no easy ask. The working areas and site compound were in isolation of each other so stringent safeguarding procedures were put in place to manage the transit of operatives, materials and equipment around site. All operatives
required enhanced DBS in place or access to the site not allowed.

We worked hard to understand the needs of the school and work closely with them to ensure a minimum disruption to their normal practices. Works had to be managed around exams and noisy works programmed for outside of normal hours.
